GRASS MAT ’PROJECT in concert
It’s Klezmer music (traditional Yiddish) and Eastern countries (Romania, Hungary ...), all arranged in Lorient sauce. Carried by a stripping clarinet and a Carpathian accordion, the Grass’Mat Project will take you on a journey through these distant regions of Birobidjan to the Balkans, on copper and galloping rhythms. Armed with their diverse influences, the musicians of this “mini Klezmer fanfare” invite you to share their music: bewitching, twirling, intoxicating, klezmerizing!
